Play Games in NFC Way
Nokia is all set to have the NFC technology for the steaming millions to play games on their sets. It has launched simple games like Nokia World Flags, Nokia Shakespeare Shuffle and Nokia Nursery Rhyme only with NFC technology. Gaming no doubt has become a mobile enigmatic dystopia with both children and adults now hanging over to their cell phones enticing themselves with enormous games, but now when NFC has emerged, this gaming has taken a new stride. It has not just become a single person concept but also multi facet technology.
Nokia refers its games “tangible” for its ability to connect with our physical environment of our real self by making use of NFC tags. The games only need to locate the presence of tag but not to write or read anything on the same.
To admit, the user interface with the games is of meager in nature, in fact they are very similar to demo apps than real ones, but when we see its actual functionality it is real an attraction. For instance if we take up NFC tagged playing card, it is used for playing a digitized version of simple matching game. Conventionally this game is played by flipping of cards to search the matching card, but now we can pick up our Nokia phone and start tapping it over, to search for the flags.
Similarly you can hear the quotes of Shakespeare by just shaking your phone on the tags. To achieve this rearrangement of the cards needs to be done, tap the same in the correct order and complete the quotes before the time is over. Thirdly have the Shakespeare quotes jumbled up to get your kids hear nursery rhymes.
These games are just the beginning and a tip of an iceberg, but with your phones equipped with NFC and by simply tapping it, you can enter into your fantasy land of witches and wizards scuffling against each other. At the same time you realize your scores are pushing up and down. Is it not amazing!
